"He had gone out to hit a bucket of balls at the golf course and just collapsed," his sister, Patty Cafferata, said. She said emergency workers tried to revive him after Wednesday's incident, but were unsuccessful.
Dillon, who owned Michael F. Dillon & Associates, a public relations and consulting firm in Sacramento, suffered a previous heart attack three years ago, Mrs. Cafferata said.
She and Dillon were among six children from Mrs. Vucanovich's first marriage to Kenneth Dillon Sr., who died in 1964.
Funeral arrangements were pending.
