* ARREST MADE -- A 19-year-old Las Vegas man has been arrested in the murder of a 15-year-old boy earlier this month. Travis Runion was taken into custody about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Runion is accused of shooting Josh Pendergraft about 6:05 p.m. Oct. 18 at Stewart Avenue and Pecos Road. Pendergraft was a passenger in a 1988 Oldsmobile when a large white vehicle with a man and woman inside pulled up next to the Oldsmobile and the drivers got into an argument, said homicide Sgt. Bill Keeton. The driver of the white car fired several rounds at the Oldsmobile, striking Pendergraft in the head and a backseat passenger in the back. Pendergraft died four days later at University Medical Center. The backseat passenger survived his wounds.

* EXPRESS SERVICE -- Citizens Area Transit is launching an express bus service on Las Vegas Boulevard. Strip express buses will operate daily from 6 p.m. to midnight, and will offer 15-minute wait times between buses. The service will operate between Fremont Street and Sunset Road, with six southbound stops and seven northbound stops. The one-way, adult cash fare is $1.50. To minimize confusion, unique bus stop signs have been created for the express service.
