Impress your costumed crusaders and their friends with Halloween Creepy Jigglers. With these new gelatin molds, you can delight the tykes with orange or "black" gelatin pumpkins, bats, cats, ghosts and witches. These wiggly figures are easy for little hands to hold, because they use the classic Jell-O Jigglers recipe, which requires less water for a firmer gelatin.

Look for the molds in supermarket displays. They're free with the the purchase of any two 8-serving-size or four 4-serving-size boxes of Jell-O gelatin.

And, after a hard day of trick-or-treating, those thirsty little goblins can wet their whistles with a cup of cold, frothy green Swamp Punch or spook them with eye-popping Eyeball Potion.

Treats like these ensure a frightfully good time for all, young and old alike.

Halloween Jigglers

1 1/4 c. boiling water

1 (8-serving) pkg or 2 (4-serving) pkgs gelatin dessert, any flavor

Spray molds lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Stir boiling water into gelatin in medium bowl at least 3 minutes until completely dissolved. Pour into molds to within an eighth-inch of the top. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or until firm (gelatin does not stick to finger when touched). Dip bottoms of molds in warm water about 15 seconds. Pull gelatin away from all edges of molds with index finger. Slip finger underneath Jigglers and gently lift away from molds. Makes 10 Jigglers. Caution: Do not swallow Jigglers whole.

Note: To make "black" gelatin, use 1 (4-serving) pkg orange and 1 (4-serving) pkg grape gelatin.

Swamp Punch

2 c. boiling water

1 (8-serving) pkg lime flavor gelatin dessert

2 c. cold orange juice

1 liter cold seltzer

Ice cubes

1 pint orange sherbet, slightly softened

1 orange and 1 lime, thinly sliced

Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in orange juice. Cool to room temperature. Just before serving, pour into punch bowl. Add cold seltzer and ice cubes. Place scoops of sherbet and fruit slices in punch. Makes 10 (1-cup) servings.

Eyeball Potion

1 (8-oz) tub frozen whipped topping, slightly thawed

Blueberries or raisins

1 1/2 c. boiling water

1 (8-serving) pkg gelatin dessert, any red flavor

1 c. cold water

Ice cubes

Using a small ice-cream scoop, place 2 scoops whipped topping into each of 10 dessert dishes for "eyeballs." Place a blueberry or raisin in each scoop for the pupil. Freeze 30 minutes or until firm. Meanwhile, stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Mix cold water and ice cubes to make 2 1/2 cups. Add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened. Remove any remaining ice. Pour about 1/2 cup gelatin around the two "eyeballs" in each dish, leaving the tops exposed. Refrigerate 1 1/2 hours or until firm. Makes 10.
