Tamara Anderson has pleaded not guilty to murder charges in the death of a 60-year-old woman whose body decayed undiscovered in a carport.
District Judge Gene Porter on Tuesday set a Dec. 9 trial date for the 55-year old defendant.
The skeletal remains of CeCe Parker were found early in September lying beneath a blanket and cheap artwork in the carport of Anderson's home at 5840 W. Edna Ave.
The body had been decomposing for eight months at the rental property owned by Bonnie Saxe, mother of magician Melinda Saxe.
Anderson, 55, told police investigating Parker's disappearance several months ago that the woman had left the home with $4,000 in cash to gamble at a local casino. Detectives never searched the property.
