Two Las Vegas men accused of an early morning heist at a northwestern valley bar are being investigated for possible ties to five other bar robberies in the past two weeks.
Metro Police robbery investigators say Saturday's holdup at Gloria's Bar, 1966 N. Rainbow Blvd. near Oakey Boulevard, may not have been the first robbery allegedly involving Donald Roberts, 36, and Lee Rawson, 25, both of Las Vegas.
Roberts and Rawson were taken into custody a short time after Gloria's Bar was hit about 6 a.m. According to the report, two suspects entered the bar wearing ski masks, one holding a gun, and announced the robbery before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police traced the vehicle registration on a black pickup seen leaving Gloria's Bar to an address in the 500 block of Minnesota Street, near Decatur Boulevard and Washington Avenue, where Roberts and Rawson were arrested on charges of robbery with a deadly weapon.
