Tom Stephens, director of the Nevada Department of Transportation, said the money will be used on a second phase of improvements at the intersection of Interstate 15 and Highway 95.
The second phase is expected to cost $86 million.
The work goes out to bid in the spring, and is expected to take two to three years.
The work will include revamping the ramp system that provides a daily challenge for tens of thousands of motorists.
