Obituary: Sidney Leopold Gelber

Sidney Leopold Gelber, 84, of Las Vegas, died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 5, 1912, in Los Angeles, and was an owner of a retail liquor store, a Navy veteran, past commander of the State of California American Legion, a member of the Jewish War Veterans and the Sheriff's Commission on Prisons.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; one son, Phil Gelber of Las Vegas; one sister, Esther Bernstein of Los Angeles; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
