Letter: Public support made food drive a success
Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1996 | 11:59 a.m.
This year they collected a record 190,000 canned and dry food items which are very much needed to help the deluge of people who are coming to our family service for emergency assistance. We have assisted 36 percent more people so far this year than in 1995, and we anticipate that this surge of need will be continuing during 1997.
We want to also recognize the wonderful support of the people of this area for filling the hundreds of thousands of collection bags that the scouts have left at their homes every year. These donations help to prove our holiday saying, "That every little bit helps."
God bless all of you for caring.
