Vancouver drops to 1-10

Owens had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Polynice added 15 points and 11 rebounds as the Kings outlasted the Grizzlies 84-83 in Monday night's only NBA game.
The victory improved the Kings' record to 4-6 this season and dropped the Grizzlies, who failed to score in the final two minutes, to 1-10.
The Kings didn't seal the win, however, until Grizzlies guard Greg Anthony missed a desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer.
"I'm not greedy. I'm very happy to get the win," Kings coach Garry St. Jean said. "When you get a road win, don't complain. We found ways to get back in it. Different guys made plays. There was a good balance."
The Grizzlies, who let an 83-80 lead with 2:01 remaining slip away, lost the game primarily on the boards. They were outrebounded 50-31.
"I take it personally," said 6-foot-10 forward Roy Rogers, who had 13 points and nine rebounds. "We're just not pulling away. Losing's tough. No one likes to lose, but the effort's been there."
Kings sharpshooter Mitch Richmond had an off night. He finished with 14 points on 5-of-15 shooting from the field. Richmond entered the game averaging 23.1 points.
Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf added 10 points for the winners, along with Corliss Williamson.
"We were able to get some offensive boards and cash them in," Williamson said. "That was the key for us."
Bryant Reeves led the Grizzlies with 19 points, 17 of them in the second half.
Rookie Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Lawrence Moten added 12 points each for the Grizzlies.
"It's frustrating when you lose," Grizzlies head coach Brian Winters said. "The last few weeks I've been seeing a bit more competitive team, and that's what I'm looking for."
The Grizzlies snapped a 57-57 deadlock late in the third quarter on back-to-back 3-pointers by guard Lee Mayberry, and led 63-59 entering the fourth.
