Letter: Nevada a lonely scapegoat in nuclear dump plans
Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1996 | 11:59 a.m.
What makes these lawmakers think that the nuclear waste will harm our state less than theirs? Or maybe Nevada isn't as important? I don't think so.
Some may argue that it isn't really close to where people live, but just because people don't live there doesn't mean that there isn't anything living there. I guess that I am just having a hard time understanding why we are being ganged up on.
