* LV WOMAN HURT -- A Las Vegas woman was injured this morning by flying debris when the front door of her apartment was busted open by Metro Police SWAT officers serving a search warrant. The woman, whose name was not released, was behind the door at 2601 Searles Ave., in the Weeks Plaza low-income housing project near Eastern Avenue, when officers forced their way into the apartment, police said. Details of the search warrant weren't available. The woman suffered injuries to her head but they weren't considered life-threatening, a dispatch supervisor said. Homicide detectives were called to the scene at 7:30 a.m. to investigate, which is usual police procedure when there is a use-of-force injury, police said.

* BANDITS SOUGHT -- Henderson Police were seeking the bandits in separate weekend holdups. Police were first called to the Smith's supermarket parking lot at 4600 E. Sunset Road about 8:25 p.m. Saturday after a 44-year-old woman reported having her purse snatched. The woman had been walking to her car when the driver of a two-door red vehicle reached out and grabbed her purse, police said. The woman told police she was dragged a short distance before she was able to let go. The thief is described only as a white man, and no further description of the car was provided. About 10:50 p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to the Pizza Hut at 308 N. Boulder Highway. Three employees told police that two men entered the business about 10:25 p.m. and one ordered a drink. As the rest of the customers cleared out, one of the men forced two employees at gunpoint to sit on the floor in the back of the business. The other man made the third employee open the safe. The men are described as white, both about 25, between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet, and wearing dark coats and black pants. Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call police at 565-2009 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.

* HENDERSON FIRES -- Fire investigators are hoping to find answers in the charred remains of three houses under construction in Henderson that mysteriously went up in smoke. Neighbors reported seeing flames about 8:30 p.m. Sunday shooting up from the wood framings of a new housing development near Green Valley High School, off Warm Springs Road and Arroyo Grande. Henderson Fire Department crews were able to contain the blaze about 9 p.m. Neighbors said they could feel the heat several blocks away. Damage was estimated at $200,000. Investigators could not find an ignition source and deemed the blaze suspicious.
