A Utah man remained hospitalized in stable condition today after a single-car accident near Mesquite that took his wife's life.
Nago Amador, 79, of St. George was recuperating Thursday with family at his bedside at University Medical Center.
Amador suffered serious head and chest injuries when their car flipped off Interstate 15 near mile marker 110 and down a steep embankment about 11:40 a.m. Wednesday. His wife, Josephine Amador, 66, was killed instantly when the roof of the couple's 1995 Ford pickup caved in, authorities said.
Investigators believe the woman may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
