* A story in the May 8 SUN said the state Ethics Commission found that former Henderson City Councilman Larry Scheffler violated six ethics laws by failing to properly disclose property holdings on land-use votes. It also was reported that none of the nine allegations against Scheffler raised by Henderson businessman Ron Coury were found to have merit. However, in at least three of Coury's allegations, the commission found there were breaches of the ethics code, but that Scheffler did not knowingly commit the acts. As a result, the board did not list them as violations in its conclusions.
