Indian crafts, jewelry shown in Henderson

The items, including Navajo and Hopi kachinas, Navajo rugs, gold and silver jewelry, pottery from Indian pueblos and framed art, will be on display and for sale noon to 10 p.m. today, noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
There is no admission charge.
The show, sponsored by Americana Indian Shows, will feature five guest artists: Jim Heller of Henderson; Carole Bourdo, prisma color drawings; Buryl Sotherland, metal sculptures; Jill Hendrix, native images; and Marvin Toya, alabaster sculpture.
Indian crafts from the Southwest will be featured such as pottery, tools, weapons and other artifacts from early prehistoric periods including the Anasazi, Hohokam and Sinagua cultures.
There also are pieces from the Spanish conquest period through today.
On display and for sale will be more than 3,000 pieces of jewelry ranging from $7-$9 earrings to collector's pieces by award-winning silver and goldsmiths Carl Clark, Sammy and Ester Guardian, Donnie Supplee, Dennis and Nancy Edaakie, Tom Jim and the Quandelacy family.
The kachinas carved by Hopi and Navajo artists are miniature reproductions of figures seen in ceremonial dances. They are carved from cottonwood.
