Brothers indicted in Internet porn

Thursday, March 28, 1996 | 11:59 a.m.

Two former Las Vegas brothers have been accused of trading child pornography over the Internet and possessing videotapes and literature of minors in sexual poses.

Douglas Anderson, 42, was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury on two counts of transporting child pornography. He and his brother, 45-year-old Ross Anderson, were charged with three counts of possession of child pornography.

Authorities say they discovered images of minors engaged in sexual conduct, including a number of Traci Lords videotapes, during a 1994 FBI search of the brothers' Las Vegas residence.

In the fall of that same year, Douglas Anderson is accused of transporting and receiving similar explicit images through the use of his computer, the indictment said.

The government also filed forfeiture proceedings against the brothers in hopes of seizing their computer, printer and computer disks, cables and other equipment.

As part of an investigation dubbed "Innocent Images," the FBI searched more than 120 homes of suspected pedophiles and pornographers in September, including the Andersons' Las Vegas home, and arrested about a dozen people.

Between five and 10 people have been indicted, Wolf said.

The brothers could not be reached for comment. They no longer live in Las Vegas and officials would not say where they live.
