Two gunmen order patrons onto floor in bar holdup

Monday, March 25, 1996 | 11:59 a.m.

An early morning robbery at a Henderson bar has police on the lookout for two gun-toting thieves.

About 5 a.m. Sunday, police say the men entered Rob's Wallbanger Lounge, 2126 S. Boulder Highway, with their guns drawn and ordered all employees and patrons on the floor.

The suspects then demanded money from the patrons, forced everyone into the bathroom, took an unspecified amount of cash from the register and left. An extensive area search for the suspects minutes later by Henderson Police was unsuccessful.

The robbers have been described as a black man about 20, 6 feet to 6 feet 4 inches, 280 pounds, last seen wearing a red shirt and blue overalls with a mask over his face; and a Hispanic man about 5 feet 7 inches, 140 pounds, with dark brown hair, and last seen wearing a shirt and white jeans.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Henderson Police's investigations bureau at 565-2009 or Secret Witness, 385-5555.
