Has prohibited companies from getting new federal contracts if they have hired illegal immigrants. Supports lowering the level of legal immigration.
* SEN. BOB DOLE: Pushed for legislation giving more money to states struggling with costs of jailing illegal immigrants. Would deny social services to illegal immigrants. Supports temporary reduction of legal immigration.
* PAT BUCHANAN: Vows to "stop illegal immigration cold" by building fence along U.S.-Mexico border and stationing troops there if necessary. Would deny social services to illegal immigrants and have five-year moratorium on most legal immigration.
