Silent majority should speak out on loss of its freedoms

It is not legal to advertise cigarettes (on television) and now they would like to add gambling to the list of no-nos. When will the next infringement come about? My guess is alcohol and a return to prohibition. It seems to me as a senior citizen and a veteran of World War II, now is a proper time to ask what happened to the freedom that we fought for?
It seems to me that along with our industry and our jobs, our freedoms have gone south of the border and to other countries. Perhaps it's time we stopped being the silent majority and once again became the free nation the whole world envied and looked up to.
