How the Las Vegas City Council voted Wednesday to spend tax dollars:

* $2.5 million: to Macco Engineering and Construction Inc. of Las Vegas, for paving, fencing and other related work at the Water Pollution Control facility.

* $1.1 million: to Richardson Construction Inc., of North Las Vegas, for street rehabilitation in the Huntridge area.

* $496,678: to Clark County for public defender representation of indigent defendants charged with misdemeanors in Municipal Court.

* $459,766: to Las Vegas Paving Corp., for construction at An San Park at Ducharme Avenue and Villa Monterey Drive.

* $445,000: to Rebel Oil Co. to renew a contract for unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel from July 1 through June 30, 1997.

* $366,100: to five firms for computer training for the city's information systems staff. Under the contract, the Global Knowledge Network of Irvine, Calif., will get $234,000; Borland International of Scott's Valley, Calif., will get $73,400; Bachman Information Systems of Burlington, Mass., will get $36,000; Openware Technologies Inc. of Jacksonville, Fla., will get $14,000; and Thirdwave Corp., of Los Angeles will get $8,700.

* $163,318: to Desert Construction Inc., for traffic signals to be used at the intersection of Summerlin Parkway and Rampart Boulevard.

* $117,396: to All Pure Chemical of Tracy, Calif., for bulk liquid chlorine for use at the Water Pollution Control Facility.

* $115,200: to 10 people to teach Municipal Court-ordered classes. Teachers are: Patricia Brown-Allman, John Harney, William Jackson, Greg McCurdy, David Moody, Gail Moses, Gary Planchon, Keith Roylance, James Stiles and Jose Troncoso.
