4 years later, boy reunited with his dad

A 7-year-old boy has been reunited with his father in Las Vegas after being abducted four years ago.

Edwin Taylor Finnie was found this week by FBI agents and officers with the Las Vegas Metro, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Phoenix police departments after being tipped off in January to his whereabouts, Metro Lt. Brad Simpson said.

The boy's mother, 26-year-old Laura Berry, who did not have legal custody of her son, was arrested in Phoenix where she had been living with the boy, police said.

Edwin was abducted in May 1992 from his father, Edwin Finnie, who was awarded custody of the boy when the parents separated, police said. The boy's father told a television reporter that his immediate plan was "to spend time getting to know my son again."

A police wanted poster printed at the time of the boy's abduction stated, "It is alleged that Laura Berry may currently be in the company of an outlaw biker gang."

No one was arrested with her, and the boy was unharmed, police said.

Berry was booked into the Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix pending extradition to Las Vegas. She faces felony charges of violation of child custody, police said.
