Gaming Control Board Chief of Enforcement Stepping Down

Asher, 56, who joined the regulatory agency six years ago after 21 years with the FBI, said he'll leave the board on June 30. No replacement has been named yet.
"All in all, it's been the best six years of my life," Asher said, adding that he will relax at a cabin in northern Nevada before seeking a casino company job early next year.
Asher, who had previously said he would stay with the board as long as Bill Bible was chairman, said his decision to leave shouldn't be viewed as evidence Bible will step down when his term expires in January.
"As far as I know, Bill hasn't made up his mind," Asher said. Bible earlier this week said he'll consider his options "some time this fall."
Bible also said Asher "did a good job for us," crediting him for his professionalism and ability in handling a number of investigations into questionable bookmaking and slot machine operations.
