Reward offered in man’s disappearance
Friday, July 19, 1996 | 11:59 a.m.
The family of Bruce Weinstein is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the Las Vegas man's body and arrest of his killers.
Metro Police homicide investigators have not elaborated on why the family believes Weinstein, 46, is dead, nor how he may have been killed. His girlfriend, Amy DeChant, reported last seeing him alive July 5 at 11 p.m. when she said he suddenly walked out of his house and never came back.
The reward will be split, offering $25,000 for information leading to the recovery of Weinstein's body and $25,000 for information to put those responsible for his murder behind bars.
Anyone with information is asked to call Secret Witness at 385-5555 or homicide detectives at 229-3521.
Police are continuing their search for Robert Wayne Jones, 57. Jones is wanted for questioning because police have evidence he was inside Weinstein's house shortly after the professional gambler disappeared.
