Wet ‘n Wild summer event set for return

The event, which runs through Aug. 9, offers entertainment and nonstop activities seven days a week.
The entertainment schedule features: through July 3, Kokomo Beach; July 4-10, Party Central; July 11-17, Sneak Preview; July 18-24, Common Ground; July 25-31, Shattered; and Aug. 1-9, Flash Flood.
For the young at heart, the Freestyle RoboSurfer mechanical surfboard offers the chance to hang 10 in an enclosed pool. Daredevils can try their hand at the bungee trampoline. And the intellectual should not miss the Pepsi Trivia Contest or the Lucky Low-Price Leader Game.
The Hawaiian Airlines main stage will play host to nightly Miss Hawaiian Tropic preliminaries. Winners will compete in the preliminary pageant finals Aug. 8 and 9 for the opportunity to challenge for the international title of Miss Hawaiian Tropic in Hawaii.
"Summer Nights" guests will also have a chance to register to win the Wet 'n Wild Hummer that will be given to one winner during the Labor Day weekend.
During the "Summer Nights" series, the water park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Regular admission prior to 5 p.m. is $21.95 for those 10 and over, $15.95 for children 3-9, free for children under 3 with a 50-percent discount on all-day admission for seniors 55 and older. Guests who bring in a specially marked Pepsi can after 5 p.m. will receive $5 off the all-day admission price.
