RTC riders need better placement of bus shelters

I waited an hour, and someone came by, told me there was no bus stopping at this shelter. That bus stop had been discontinued more than a year ago. But that shelter was still sitting there.

There is another discontinued bus shelter in front of the property. I still see people waiting there, even though this shelter has a sign, stating that this bus route was re-routed.

What really gets my gall is that I have been reading that there is a shortage of bus shelters at some bus stops. Two seniors have been building benches, because they have been feeling badly about people waiting in the sun or rain for a bus with no bus shelter.

It is the city's responsibility to set up these bus shelters.

Two months ago, I wrote to the Regional Transportational Commission about this. I have not received a reply. Those bus shelters -- the discontinued ones -- are still sitting there.
