Guinn Community Center offers classes

Ages 6-14 can learn to become environmentally aware through creative interactions with the sciences "Earthworks" on Monday nights from 5-6:30 p.m. for only $23. Habla Espanol? Do you have a desire to learn Spanish? Teens can take a "Survival Spanish" class on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. for only $28.

Do you want to learn the fundamentals of in-line skating and get in shape doing it? Guinn now offers an in-line skate class on Tuesday for all ages for just $18.

Session II walk-in registration will be held beginning Feb. 20. Classes run from Feb. 26 through April 6. These dates apply to all classes sponsored by Clark County Parks & Recreation at all nine urban community centers.

A Teen Leader Club is open to area students ages 13 to 15. Meetings to be held at Guinn Middle School the second and fourth Tuesday of each month beginning March 12 at 3 p.m. Develop leadership, job, social and other skills through meetings, recreational opportunities and volunteer work. Membership selected based on a job application and interview. Call 455-8393 for more information on any of these programs.
