Variety Club events ‘Honor the Children’

Individuals, families and businesses have sponsored these bicycles through donations to Variety which is coordinating the program with a volunteer group of Metro officers. These children have been chosen for their achievements in the community.
Proceedings start with breakfast at McDonald's. The youngsters will be escorted to the Stratosphere Showroom where they will be entertained by comedian-magician and Variety Club Board member Nick Lewin, star of Maxim's Comedy Magic Show, the Roxy Diner performers, have their accomplishments acknowledged and be presented with their bicycles and special equipment.
Comedian Louie Anderson is also scheduled to make an appearance.
This will be followed by a parade down Philadelphia to Fairfield and end on Boston Avenue at the Stupak Center. There will be police cars, mounted police officers, race cars, a marching band and a horse-drawn buggy with Santa, horses and riders.
