Mickey Rooney to headline holiday show at Gold Coast
Friday, Dec. 20, 1996 | 3:43 a.m.
He will present an evening of comedy, memories and music, including some of his own compositions, such as "Twinkle in God's Eye."
Rooney, 76, has been a Las Vegas headliner since the city's birth as the entertainment capital of the world in the late 1940s.
He will be joined at the Gold Coast by pantomime comedian Georgie Carl Jr., performing his classic stage act.
Show time will be 8 each night, with a gala show set for 10:30 p.m. New Year's Eve.
Tickets for the 8 p.m. show are $22.50 (includes one drink and taxes). New Year's Eve tickets are $49 plus tax (includes party favors, table snacks and a split of champagne).
A live band will provide dance music after the show.
Tickets are on sale at the hotel gift shop, next to the showroom, or by calling the Gold Coast at 367-7111.
