Authorities have yet to identify the skeleton of a woman found near Lake Mead last month.
The coroner's office has determined that the woman was white and between 20 to 30 years old with long red hair, yet her name remains a mystery.
Three women hiking just inside the Lake Mead National Recreation Area discovered the skull Nov. 23, prompting a search of the area by police, who found skeletal remains scattered about, said Metro Police homicide Sgt. Bill Keeton.
Anyone with information on the woman or her death is asked to call the homicide section at 229-3521 or Secret Witness at 385-5555. A reward is being offered.
