2 Killed, 5 Injured In Collision Of Greyhound Bus, Car

Authorities said the two who were killed were in a car which veered across the center line of U.S. Highway 93 and collided head-on with the bus Wednesday afternoon two miles north of Kingman.

The victims were identified as William Cowell, 66, and his 60-year-old wife, Marion.

Authorities said the injured included the bus driver and four of the 25 passengers aboard the bus. They were taken to Kingman Regional Hospital, where they were treated for injuries ranging from facial bruises to a possible broken leg. Their names were not immediately released.

Authorities were unable to say where the bus was headed.

The state Department of Public Safety in Kingman said the roads were clear and weather was not considered a factor.

The accident shut down U.S. 93 in both directions for more than three hours. The highway is the main route between Phoenix and Las Vegas.
