A $2.9 million road widening project has begun on Las Vegas Boulevard from Warm Springs Road to Serene Avenue.
The project includes widening Las Vegas Boulevard from two to four lanes, extending the storm drain, installing a new traffic signal at Windmill Lane, and providing intersection lighting.
The project should be finished by May 1997, officials said.
Money for the project comes from the Regional Transportation Commission and revenues generated from the 1 percent hotel room tax component of the Clark County Master Transportation Plan's funding program.
