Las Vegas residents who plan to do a little back-to-school clothing shopping are asked by the Salvation Army to include a needy local child in their back-to-school shopping lists.
The Salvation Army's "Clothing for Kids" booth will be open at the Boulevard Mall Fridays and Saturdays through August.
At the booths, local residents are asked purchase an additional clothing item for a needy youngster.
"We know that the need for this project is great, because we have been providing emergency assistance to a record number of families so far this year," said Lt. Colonel Jim Sullivan of the Salvation Army.
