Elges takes spot on state board

CARSON CITY -- Harlan Elges, who retired after working 33 years for the State Gaming Control Board, has been named to the state Commission on Judicial Discipline.
Elges replaces newspaper columnist Guy Shipler, who died March 30.
Elges, 59, of Carson City, was chief of administration at the board, and has a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Nevada, Reno.
The commission, composed of lay people, lawyers and judges, examines complaints filed against judges.
