Local FBI agents catch N.Y. robbery suspect

A 36-year-old man wanted in connection with two armed bank robberies in New York is in custody at Clark County Detention Center.

FBI agents arrested Frederick R. Hutzenlaub in the parking lot of a Harmon Avenue apartment complex Monday after receiving a tip earlier in the day from an anonymous source.

His arrest was based on a warrant for the Jan. 6 armed robbery of a Citibank.

Surveillance videotape has also linked Hutzenlaub to a Jan. 20 heist at the National Westminister Bank in Suffolk County, authorities said.

The warrant issued for Hutzenlaub's arrest in that robbery alleges that one of two men entered the bank, vaulted the counter and ordered tellers to empty their cash drawers, according to Debbie Calhoun, special agent with the Las Vegas bureau.

Once outside the bank, one robber shot an officer n the leg, Calhoun said.

FBI agents arrested Ralph Oyague, 43, for the robbery after finding him hiding in some bushes two blocks from the bank, Calhoun said. The other man, who authorities claim was Hutzenlaub, escaped.
