Camp let’s you explore the sciences

For two weeks, students ages 8-14 will participate in hands-on science workshops in astronomy, health and nutrition, physics, biology, fitness and more. Activities on various science-related topics will be provided from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, along with different guest speakers and sport and fitness drills.

Some of the guest speaker topics include: forensic science, celestial and land navigation, life skills, American Red Cross, CPR and first aid, and desert tortoise protection.

All classes will be taught by Clark County schoolteachers.

YES Summer Camp Session 1 is 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 10-21. Session 2 is 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 15-26.

Students must bring their own lunch. Drop off and pick up is at the Community College of Southern Nevada, Cheyenne Campus, 3200 E. Cheyenne. Camp tuition is $240.
