Southern Nevada fishing report

* LAKE MEAD -- Boaters are now finding good success for striped bass while shore fishing continues to relatively slow. Good spring fishing for stripers is taking place at the Meadows and Meat Hole in the Overton Arm. Fish in the 2 to 3-pound range are concentrated in those areas and are being caught with relative ease. The action has also been good for small stripers in the back of Las Vegas Wash, at Hulapai Bay in Gregg Basin and in Iceberg Canyon. One boater reported finding stripers at Walker Wash.

* LAKE MOHAVE -- Excellent fishing for largemouth bass is being found in coves and along dropoffs in the Cottonwood Cove area. Bass weighing from 2 to 4 pounds have been caught and released by boaters during the past week. Small striped bass are still being caught on the Arizona side of the lake across from Cottonwood. No large stripers have been taken in the Willow Beach area.
