Reno Air Inc. earnings

COMMENTS: The company reported earnings of $1.95 million, or 19 cents a share, for the year ended Dec. 31 compared with a $14 million, or $1.73-cent-a-share loss a year earlier. Its 1995 revenues were $256.5 million, up from $195.5 million in 1994. "These financial results represent our fourth consecutive profitable quarter and are particularly significant in light of our substantial capacity increase, higher fuel prices and the intense competitive environment on the West Coast," said President and CEO Robert Reding. The Reno-based company serves 16 cities throughout the West as well as Chicago's O'Hare Airport. It added service this month connecting Fairbanks and Anchorage in Alaska as well as Anchorage and Seattle, Wash. It also initiated flights between Reno and Colorado Springs, Colo., and resumed service between Seattle and Portland, Ore. (Nasdaq: RENO; PSE: RNO) -- Associated Press
