Fred H. Nielsen Jr., 78, of Las Vegas, died Sunday. He was born Aug. 2, 1917, in Watervliet, Mich. A 60-year resident, he was a retired 50-year photography shop owner on Las Vegas Boulevard, a World War II Air Force veteran, a member of the 728th Bombardment Squadron, the 452nd Bombardment Group, the Masonic Lodge, Shriners and the Lions Club.
He is survived by one daughter, Tina Nelson, one son, Fred Nielsen III, and one brother, Ken Nielsen, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
