Prime Cable bypasses new channel

Prime Cable has no plans to pick up the arts-oriented Ovation channel, said Harris Bass, the company's general manager.
For one thing, there isn't room. "If we added Ovation, it would be at the expense of a channel we're already carrying," he said.
Prime Cable is hoping to increase its channel capacity during the next three years and probably won't consider adding a "niche" channel like Ovation until that project is completed.
Moreover, Prime Cable currently has an arts channel, Bravo, "and we almost dropped that because of lack of viewership," Bass said.
