Ever seen the ‘Green Tree Boy’?

Find out in the Rainbow Company's latest production, "The Green Tree Boy," opening on Friday in the Studio Theatre of the Reed Whipple Cultural Arts Center. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and April 19-20, and 2 p.m. Sunday and April 20-21.

The story follows the adventures of Hubert, a little boy who encounters such characters as a drowsy bear, a "cool" raccoon, an eccentric butterfly and a nearsighted hunter. As the chuckles increase, so does Hubert's rationalization that perhaps home was not so bad after all.

Taylor Campbell heads up the cast as Hubert, with Phyllis Donohue as the bear, Jamar Rogers-Traylor as the butterfly and Loyd Wasson as the racoon.

Tickets are $2 for children 12 and under, $3 for teens and senior citizens and $5 for adults. Tickets are on sale at the Reed Whipple Arts Center, 229-6211 and at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 229-6383.
