He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two sons, William Earl Jr. and Duane Cook; one daughter, Robin Alexander; two brothers, Walter J. and Dr. Harvey Gerald Cook; one sister, Dr. Elsie Morgan; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
