City approved spending

How the City Council voted Wednesday to spend tax dollars:

* $210,150 to four firms for plumbing supplies. Under the bid, Kellys Pipe and Supply Inc., will get $80,350, Consumers Pipe and Supply will get $78,500, Imperial Products Inc., will get $34,000 and Century Maintenance and Supply will get $17,300.

* $76,753 to This End Up of Richmond, Va., for furniture for the Las Vegas Village homeless shelter.

* $36,304 in a contract modification to Mikon Construction Co. Inc., for concrete patches on Garces Avenue and Campbell Drive, miscellaneous alleys and the city parking lot at Stewart Avenue and Fourth Street.

* $26,478 to Duncan Industries of Harrison, Ariz., for 200 colored parking meter housings to be used in the downtown area.

* $24,672 in a contract modification with McComb Contracting Co., for concrete drainage repairs on Garces and Wyoming avenues and Campbell Drive.

* $8,149 for a 30-day extension of a lease agreement for the Municipal Court traffic school program with the firm, K-Las Vegas, while officials negotiate a new lease.
