In reply to V.M.B.'s recent SUN letter concerning the smoking ban in two Las Vegas malls:
This person should relax and enjoy his or her trips to the smoke-free malls.
However, I strongly urge the smokers and nonobjectors to stay away from those malls. Why should they go and spend their money where they are not welcome?
I understand we have three other malls that provide designated, indoor smoking areas. I must applaud them for allowing the public its freedom of choice.
As for casinos, there must be a reason why they don't go nonsmoking for the convenience of the anti-smokers. I believe they all have nonsmoking areas.
After reading V.M.B.'s letter, I wonder if this person remembers the good old days when America was a free country. If not, I am sorry for him or her. That freedom was wonderful.
