Gondo, Rebels In Rout

Glen Gondrezick hit 23 points and five other Rebels scored in double figures Saturday night to lead Nevada Las Vegas to an easy 112-72 win over Cal State Northridge.

The victory, giving the Rebels a 12-1 season record, was their 11th straight win with 100 or more points and their 51st straight victory at home.

Las Vegas, aide by several Northridge turnovers, opened up a 20-9 lead in the first seven minutes of play and held a 51-30 edge at halftime. The Rebels outscored their foes 22-9 in the first seven minute of the second half and finished the game with reserves.

Larry Moffett added 15 points for the Rebels, followed by 13 for Eddie Owens 12 each for Robert, Tony and Sam Smith. Larry Singleton and Lon Trotter led Northridge with 15 points apiece.
