One angle of local interest is the presence of former San Diego State guard Kyle Spain, who in two games in the Thomas & Mack Center this season destroyed UNLV. Josh Heytvelt -- the Gonzaga grad who came back from a serious drug suspension two years ago -- is a good story here, too. One guy to watch, also, is Boston College guard Tyrese Rice. He went largely unnoticed as one of the nation's most potent scorers in the backcourt for four seasons in the loaded Atlantic Coast Conference.
