If you're a photo junkie with shots of Fourth of July festivities, listen up: LasVegasSun.com wants your pictures! We want to showcase all the photos our readers take of fireworks displays, patriotic pets, cute kids ... whatever monumental moments you capture with your digital camera this weekend, we want to see them.
How do you get them to us? It's easy! Just upload your photos to your Flickr account, give them tags of "vegas" and "fireworks", and then make sure to change the license to something other than the default one. You can do this by going to an individual photo of yours and looking for the "Additional Information" section on the right side of the page. Click the "edit" link next to "Some rights reserved" and choose any of the options other than "None (All rights reserved)". You can also change your default license before you upload your new photos on your account settings page on Flickr.
Our site will find your photos and our editors will approve them to show up on LasVegasSun.com. We won't know or have access to your Flickr password or any other privacy details -- just the photos themselves and basic info such as when they were taken and when they were put online.
If we end up posting something of yours that you'd rather us not show, just send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with a link to the photo(s) you want removed and we'll take care of it ASAP.
Also, if you're interested in having your photos on LasVegasSun.com but aren't so sure about your picture-taking skills (like many of us), here are some helpful tips.
