What is the Home News?

The Las Vegas Sun has been telling the valley's stories for more than 50 years. Now, it's zeroing in on your neighborhood. We're looking to report on what's important to you in your daily life — whether it's a new restaurant opening down the block, traffic problems or a neighborhood festival.

What areas do you cover?

The Las Vegas Sun's Home News covers the majority of Clark County, including Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City and unincorporated areas around Las Vegas. If you live outside of this area, there may be little to no content for your ZIP code.

What's an app?

When you go to lasvegassun.com/homenews, you see a series of small boxes (that we call apps) filled with content: news, deals, crime data, real estate info, etc. These boxes are all customizable.

Drag and move them around your page and put your favorite app on top. Don't like an app? Click the "X" and it goes away. Delete one by accident? Click "add apps" to add it again. You can even add duplicate apps and have them pull in information for different parts of town. If you click on the "gear" icon, you can change the ZIP code the app is gathering information for or move the app over to personalized pages you may have created on other sites (such as an iGoogle page).

Where can I get a copy of the Home News?

The Home News is now online only.

I own a local business and want to buy advertising. What are my options?

Please submit your information and request on our advertising page. You also can download our media kit (.pdf).

Can I add my event to the calendar?

Yes, please use this form: http://www.lasvegassun.com/events/submit/

Can I send you a press release?

Yep! E-mail [email protected].

I want to post a classified ad. How do I do that?

We don't offer specific classified ad postings; however, you can post community announcements, like garage sales or birth notices, by using the "My Neighborhood" widget.

How is the Home News tied to the Las Vegas Sun?

The Home News is an arm of the Las Vegas Sun, which along with Las Vegas Weekly, In Business Las Vegas, and Las Vegas Magazine, is owned by The Greenspun Corporation.
