NASA lectures

Space enthusiasts, don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet two pioneers of space exploration. Join David D. McBride, Director of NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center as he shares insight into the future of space exploration. McBride discusses the completion of NASA’s Shuttle Program, the future of NASA’s space exploration initiatives, and the latest developments in aeronautics research, science, unmanned and manned space exploration. Both the 11:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. presentations are free for Springs Preserve members and are included with general admission. From 7-9 p.m., astronaut Al Worden will share his career experiences including his 1971 mission with Apollo 15. After his presentation and book signing in the Big Springs Theater, Worden will lead a tour of the SPACE exhibit. Adult tickets are $25 for members, $30 for members and $15 for those 18 and under and the adult tickets include a copy of Worden's book "Falling to Earth: An Apollo Astronaut’s Journey to the Moon."
