Contemporary Arts Center presents It's All A Blur

The Contemporary Arts Center in partnership with SOMArts Cultural Center San Francisco are proud to present It's All A Blur, a major touring exhibition about levels of empowerment and enfranchisement in the American West and the current status of the American Dream. This multimedia exhibition features three prolific and highly influential artists, Guillermo Gómez-Peña, Dale Hoyt and Tony Labat with three distinct but mutually informed bodies of work spanning over 75 combined years and was conceived by SOMArts curator and gallery director Justin Hoover.

This exhibition has three components, a gallery component, a public intervention component and a virtual online component. It's All A Blur incorporates video installation, drawings, sculptural installation, photography, and performance/video artworks about the themes of the migrant body in the West, the economics of labor, cross-cultural identity, and analyzes various levels of personal empowerment and political/economic disenfranchisement distinct to the Western states, but universally understood.
