StumbleMemorial Thursday for Norway
The community is invited to take part in a memorial service to be held Thursday, July 28 at 7 p.m. for the victims of Friday’s massacre in Oslo and the nearby island of Utøya. The event will be held at Christ Lutheran Church at 111 N. Torrey Pines Drive.
Additionally, locals may sign a book of condolences to be sent to Norway and place flowers and other mementos outside the church starting Thursday, July 28 at 6 p.m.
The service will be conducted primarily in English but will include Norwegian elements. Local Norwegians who own traditional folk wear called “bunads” are encouraged to wear them.
