Freedom Riders film screening and Q&A
Vegas PBS and MGM Resorts International will host a preview of Freedom Riders, an original American Experience documentary followed by a live discussion with original Freedom Rider and Congressman John Lewis (GA) at The Mirage Resort. The special two-hour event is open to the public and will feature an exclusive preview of the Freedom Riders documentary followed by a question and answer session with Congressman John Lewis, an original Freedom Rider.
Seating is limited for this free event and reservations must be made in advance at VegasPBS.org/freedom or by calling 799-1010 ext. 5361 through April 25. Those interested in submitting questions to Congressman Lewis about the Freedom Riders movement as well as civil rights can do so by visiting the Vegas PBS Facebook page. The event is sponsored by MGM Resorts International and McDonald’s.
